Our History From Manama
Ahmed Ibrahim Establishment
In the very heart of Manama's trading hub Bab el-Bahrain was a paint and building material merchant - Ahmed Ibrahim Mohamed - who was known for selling British and European brand paints and construction chemicals; notably DuPont Paints, British Paints, ICI and Dulux. Our founder was selling paints directly in Bahrain, and in Beirut, Doha, Jeddah, and Sharjah markets since the 50s.
Unitco Al Bahrain Company
In line with the growth and development of Bahrain's infrastructure and economy, our establishment was transformed into a company with a new headquarter in Sehla, Manama, Bahrain and our offerings at the time grew with the addition of building materials and construction chemical agencies such as Binks Paint Spray, Bromel Paints, FEB Construction Chemicals, MBT Building Technologies, Langlow, Krafft, and TREMCO.
Omega Paints
In the very heart of Manama, our founder and his sons, namely Hamed Ahmed Alshawi foresaw the rapid infrastructure development in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the need for Omega Paints to come alive - and it did so with the establishment of a subsidiary in the name of Unitco Chemical Industries at Sitra North Industrial Area, Kingdom of Bahrain in the year 82.
